Beta 4 - how to pin terminals to taskbar in Win7?

Dec 1, 2011 at 8:02 AM

I can't pin terminals to the taskbar in Windows 7. If I pin any of the shortcuts that terminals creates during install (desktop shortcut or program groups shortcut) then if I run this shortcut from the taskbar terminals launches in a separate icon after asking for admin privileges. This icon does not have a shield ad-on indicating that it is running under admin privileges. If I try to pin the running terminals icon to the taskbar then the shield ad-on appears next to it but if I try to run it I get a message "Access to the path ...WriteAccessCheck.txt is denied." This worked in previous releases.

To pin to Taskbar = Right-click on the EXE from Windows Explorer and select "Pin to taskbar".

To run as administrator = Right-click on EXE and selected Properties->Compatibility tab->Check "Run this program as an administrator".

Thanks - I've managed to configure it using Your instructions.

I guess the EXE previously was configured to run under admin privileges by default.
