All,

I have enjoyed using terminals for the past couple of years but I still have not been able to serial into a com port on my laptop to connect to a cisco device. Is there an existing way to do this currently? I appreciate any assistance provided.

Thanks!

There are already questions and requirements. But there is no active developer with hardware, who is able to implement such features.
If you provide some emulator, some testing device, than we can try.

http://www.gns3.net/ is an industry standard for emulating Cisco hardware (Routers only, not switches or firewalls etc but ssh implementation between them shouldn't be any different). You'll just need to get ahold of an iOS image, shouldn't be too hard. I will be graduating in Dec. and will be looking for a project to keep me busy. Being a dev by education and network engineer by trade, I might be able to help if you guys are willing.
