Searchable custom attributes - Feature Request

Would it be possible to add custom attributes which are searchable? ie: MAC address, geographic location, etc? Currently I put info like this into the "notes" section, but it isn't always organized and isn't searchable.

Yes, there is already such feature request to implement search feature.

Only spec attributes can be filtered

Which screen would you like to search on? The Quick Connect dialog, the manage favorites window?
