Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to provide a session / user friendly name for the tab when starting a new rdc from command line?

so

Terminals.exe /r /v:10.251.15.14:3389 will create a tab named 10.251.15.14

I'd like to be able to provide a friendly name i.e.

Terminals.exe /r /v:10.251.15.14:3389 /n:"my server" will create a tab named "my server" connecting to 10.251.15.14

regards,

Daniel

Tab names depend on type of connection you start. If you start using direct assignment of address, than the connection name is the server address. If you double click a favorite directly in terminals, than the connection name reflects the favorite name.

Check the online documentaion of commandline arguments (http://terminals.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Command%20line%20arguments&referringTitle=User%20documentation).

Your requirement can be simulated using stored favorite name parameter (terminals /favs:server,server1 will start two servers by their favorite name).

Second option is to propose feature request, because there is no such command line parameter.
